The 2nd at Dunbar Golf Course Dunbar is the initial east coast main line Scottish station and happens to be the first in a steady stream succession of exceptional East Lothian golf courses.

Dunbar Golf Club is exposed but is an exceptional example of links golf, a natural strip of seaside turf, predominantly flat and in wonderful condition.

In North Berwick alone there are three 18-hole courses and each one quite different. West Links is another wind-catcher, very natural and in stupendous condition. Glen Golf Club is a totally different experience. The view across the Forth Estuary to the Bass Rock are engaging from most points of the course. The newish Whitekirk Golf Club is a couple of miles out of town and has high, rocky outcrops, deep grassy hollows and distractingly fine views over the Firth of Forth.

The great golfing metropolis of Gullane, only four miles along the coast, is literally surrounded by golf courses including the world famous Muirfield. There are seven courses in all within a four-mile stretch. Gullane No's 1,2 and 3 all provide excellent golf with outstanding views from all courses.

Longniddry Golf Club, just along the coast, where the grass is lush and in the distance from the 1st tee, tall pine trees turn it onto a pleasant parkland.
