Foreword
This book, containing, as it does, what might be
called the small change of journalism, I have entitled CURDIES. That it
may bring half as much joy to the reader as that small coin of the realm
was wont to bring to me when I was a boy is my fervent wish.
The sketches have appeared variously in The Daily
Express, The Daily Record, and The Glasgow Evening News.
