Being a revision and enlargement of certain chapters of "The Savages of the Ards" (1906) (pdf)

OF the ancient and noble Norman family of Savage—or, as the Normans wrote it, Le Sauvage — the first who came into these kingdoms passed from Normandy into England with the army of the Conqueror, a.d. 1066, and settled in Derbyshire.
