My association with Donald comes through my
paternal Norwegian grandmother, a Reinertson. Through her we trace back by
blood to Somerled. My ancestor, Somerled's great great grandson
(through Ranald) Asle Dugalsson, was a prefect in Valdres, Norway and
married into a Norwegian noble family. Thus, taking that line of the
family to Norway. The Reinertson's came to the USA in the early 1900's. |
