Mini Biographies of Scots and Scots Descendants (C)
Chisholm, John and Munro, Nancy

John Chisholm got in touch and said...

Dear Sir; I just read the story of the Chisholm Clan and I found it was very informative; you had listed where some of the Chisholm’s may have left Scotland and venture to other lands or countries. One in particular you had mentioned was Nova Scotia in Canada, the other you should know about is in the Town of Goderich, Ontario Canada. The reason I am telling you this part of the story is that my grandfather told me how his ancestors help the Prince during that period. The proof of the story was in the family bible that dated back to the thirteen hundreds and listed all my ancestors and their deeds, birth, marriages, and deaths. On the inside cover of the bible was stamp the Seal of the Chisholm’s, but due to unfortunate event the bible is missing among one of my relatives and I am trying to locate it and try to finish the legacy of the Chisholm’s clan. A lot of my ancestors came from Scotland and Ireland and the information that I have received is very little if any at all, so I am forwarding you the list of generations that I have worked on.

The genealogy is a word doc file which you can download here
