There will be at least one geologist and possibly others who are well versed in the geology of Scotland and the area around Glen Noe.  The geological events of the distant past have resulted in the surface geography (Ben Cruachan, Loch Etive, Glennoe, and the Pass of Brander.  The geography is related to history, such as the relative safety of Glen Noe and the two significant battles at the Pass of Brander. A number of clan historians will be present to explain their view of the past.
