This is a 3 day trip that was taken on 7th
November 2003. It is of course quite feasible to do a trip from
Pitlochry to the Skye and back in a day but it would really need to be
done in Summer and you'd need to set off around 9am and aim to return by
7pm. This trip is an easier one as I'll be staying at the Uig Hotel on the
west coast of the Isle of Skye some 15 miles past Portree.
So... these pictures take us from the start
of the journey just past Pitlochry...
As you can see it started off rather cloudy
but the sun was soon coming out through the clouds. This is me taking the
road from Dalwhinnie to Spean Bridge.
This is all going North towards the Great Glen
and over the Caledonian Canal
This was taken from one of those ViewPoints
that you get on the road allowing you to park off the road and enjoy the
spectacular views.
And so we will continue on with the journey to
Skye on the next page
