Poetry
Poems of Annie McLean
Passengers at Slough

 How odd,
the young Orientals
who entered the train
at the dog-in-the-case station.

To me it's odd
me, the nosey sod,
Well it's their hair,
so unnaturally fair.
yellow is one
and not from the sun;
bronze is the other,
perhaps his brother?

How odd
the young Orientals
with dyed hair.
It really looks quite -
odd!
