Lyrics by John
Henderson on the 31st of July, 2012,
to part of Sir Edward Elgar's 'Salut
D'Amour', Opus 12.
Love lingers lonely in a maiden's eyes
Her mem'ries lie quietly deep amidst her sighs
That, speak of a fondness that in recent days
Has all but vanquished past tragedies
Much peace ertswhile banished from that maiden's breast
Came back to enrich her life at God's behest
So, mostly restored she ably plays her part
In full empow'r'd by her caring heart ... and courage ..... |
