Lyrics composed by
John Henderson on the 29th of August, 2012
to an old Scottish song, 'The
Music O' Spey '.
I raised my dim eyes and much to my surprise fluffy clouds came
into focus;
Then in a trice they changed in shape and size, as they sought
another locus.
This metamorphising wondrous to view yielded images artistic,
But again 'twasn't long e're all of these had gone, drawn by
weather forces mystic.
The bright azure sky with these drifters by and by were
disturbed by Nature's system;
Winds from the sea arose as if with glee for they brought dark
rain-clouds with them.
I viewed this with sorrow for former friends, and their brief
lives so fantastic;
But again some of these white minute drops of rain may survive
the catastrophic? |
