(The ancient name
for the City of Stirling, Scotland)
Lyrics composed by John Henderson on the 6th of July, 2012,
to an old Scottish waltz called 'Evenie
Water'.
In all the wide world there is nowhere
That you'll ever find makes you stand and stare
Enthralled by its vistas beyond compare
As all those encompassing 'Striviling' .....
So make haste to this city, and its steep walks
To its old royal castle perched high on rocks;
Look north and look southward, look west, look east
At all the fine views seen from 'Striviling'.
Around and about it lies carse land,
Green parks, sluggish rivers, deep wooded crags,
Round hills and bleak mountains all proudly stand
Imperial guardians of 'Striviling' .....
So make haste to this city, and its steep walks
To its old royal castle perched high on rocks;
Look north and look southward, look west, look east
At all the fine views seen from 'Striviling'. |
