Just after
noon, our tour group took the ferry from the Lochaline
terminal on the mainland to the Fishnish terminal on the
Isle of Mull. We continued on to the small capital of Tobermory.
Our trip
would not be complete without some mention of the
single-lane roads and the "PASSING PLACE" signs, which were
more frequent and more predictable on Mull. I should note
that the driver, who was closer to a passing place, would
generally pull over to make room. Our bus driver, Mark,
often pulled over for vehicles overtaking the bus from
behind.
Ah yes, there
were even vestiges of Highland cattle to be seen. As we
booked into our room at the Craignure Hotel, we noticed the
Caledonian MacBrayne ferry docking nearby.
