Pictures from Doug and Pat Ross on their trip to Scotland 2007
Armadale Castle on the Sleat Peninsula

Armadale Castle, the Gardens and Museum of the Isles are set in the heart of a 20,000 acre estate at the southern end of the Sleat Peninsula on the Isle of Skye. The Library and Study Centre are located in one wing of the Museum building. Six of the interconnecting galleries contain 1500 years of Kingdom of the Isles (Clan Donald) history. Doug spent an interesting half-hour in the offices of the Library.

The town of Armadale is Skye's "back door" where a ferry connects to Mallaig on the mainland.
