Andy RossName:  Andrew Ross (always known as Andy)
D of B.   20/7/32    Born at Dallas, Moray.
Employment:   Worked most of my working life with a large landed Company as Farms Administrator and latterly (10 years) as a Dairies Manager.   The Company was Moray Estates Development Company with estates in Morayshire, Inverness-shire, Perthshire and Fife.
Served 3 years in the Royal Air Force, after my initial training at Hednesford (Staffordshire) I spent the rest of my service at R.A.F. Bicester (Oxfordshire).
Have acted as compere at many events around my home - Eden Court Theatre, Inverness Town Hall, Elgin and have been involved with the Shetland Accordion & Fiddle Festival since its inception 15 years ago.  Locally was a founder member of the Forres Accordion & Fiddle Club and have acted as compere there for most of the past 25 years.
As far as broadcasting is concerned I have presented Scottish Music programmes on Moray Firth Radio, Inverness for over 20 years, also for the past 6 years have presented a weekly chat show with local celebrities - Moray Firth People (Tuesdays on 1107 m.w. 7-8 p.m.)  The other programmes comprise a request programme The Sunday Show  (Sundays 12 noon - 2 p.m.) and The Thursday Ceilidh (Thursdays 7-8.30 p.m. with another 2 co-presenters).  All programmes can be heard on the internet www.mfr.co.uk  also the Sunday and Thursday programmes can be found on my web

In 1988 I won a TRICS award from the Scottish Television & Radio industry for the best Scottish documentary broadcast during the previous year.
