For example, when I travel I like to
pamper myself. If I am going to be in London for a week, I want to take
advantage of the many places where fresh flowers are available. So, I
pack a vase in my suitcase and buy fresh flowers for my hotel room,
adding a few new flowers each day. If you have a friend who is going on
a trip like that, wouldn’t she be surprised to receive a travel basket
full of pampering items, which include a vase? Buy a nice basket at a
craft or discount store and some colorful shredded paper for the bottom.
Include some lavendar pillow spray (available at Wal-Mart or
bath/body-type stores) so her bed will smell wonderful at night, and
some bubble bath and body lotion so she can soak after a long day of
sightseeing. And, since London is a great place for walking, add some
peppermint foot lotion to sooth travel weary feet. Include a small
scented candle and holder, the vase for the flowers, and a laminated map
of the city (available in most major bookstores). Also, many hotels in
Europe do not have washcloths. Buy a pretty washcloth, some lace and
some silk flowers and ribbon. Sew the lace across one end of the
washcloth about an inch and a half from the edge and decorate with the
silk flowers and ribbon.
Arrange all of the items in your basket
and pull some colored cellophane up around it then tie at the top with a
ribbon. Your friend will really feel pampered. |
