Ideas for Special Occasions
Serving Tray |
Several years ago I traveled through the
covered bridge area of Indiana and took many pictures of the bridges.
When I got home, I bought an 11 X 14-inch picture frame with a flat
border. I covered the back cardboard with a map showing the area where I
had been then glued pictures of the bridges, pressed wildflowers, and
other souvenirs onto the map leaving the map area, where the bridges are
located, uncovered. I sprayed a sealer over all then put the cardboard
back so it showed through the glass of the frame. I then bought two
drawer handles, one for each end of the frame, drilled holes, and
screwed the handles on. Now I have a serving tray with the souvenirs of
my trip inside. You can do these as gifts with souvenirs from a friend’s
trip, perhaps with postcards they have sent to you, or with old family
photos of the person, or with any theme that will mean something to your
gift recipient. |
