A Blue Frog

A Blue Frog

Annie and Angus loved to play at the pond.

They threw in leaves and rocks.

Sometimes they tried to catch frogs with their hands,

Getting water on their shoes and their socks.

One day Angus saw something odd.

It was blue and it hopped all around.

It had four legs and croaked quite loud.

“It’s a frog and it’s blue. Look what I’ve found.”

Annie came running to see what it was.

She giggled and hopped all about.

“A blue frog? That’s odd,” she said with a smile.

“It has even got a small blue snout.”

They sat at the edge of the pond all day long

Watching the blue frog swimming in the water.

It played with the toads and it played with the fish

And the snails and the bugs and the otter.
