Three little birds sat in a tree,
Hidden among the leaves so green.
One was blue and one was red,
And another, so purple and clean.
The little red bird could sing so high
And his music was soothing to the ears.
If you listened to each little note he sang
It would truly bring you to tears.
The little blue bird sang so low
That he sounded just like a lion’s roar.
When he chirped along with the red bird’s song
It was something that all could adore.
The purple bird with violet wings
Sang just perfectly, right in between.
When she sang, the world seemed to stand still,
‘twas something like no other had seen.
When the three birds sang together,
Way up high in the top off the tree,
Their song, melodic and beautiful,
Made the other birds green with envy.
