Historical Tales of the Wars
of Scotland Carberry Hill
In 1567, Mary Queen of Scots
led an army on Carberry Hill in East Lothian in response to the challenge
from her rebellious lords. The two armies never came to blows, but Mary's
army dwindled under the hot sun and the queen was obliged to surrender.
