The Army List is a list
(or more accurately seven series of lists) of serving regular, militia
or territorial British Army officers, kept in one form or another, since
1702.
In addition to the
regular series there are special lists of the forces in North America
(1782), of British American half-pay officers (1783) and of foreign
corps (1794 to 1802).
