Essays on Miscellaneous Subjects
By Sir John Sinclair Bart (1802)

I should hardly have ventured to have troubled the world with this publication, had I not flattered my self with the idea, that any person who will take the trouble of perusing the following Essays; will, on the whole, be inclined to say, “This is the work of an Author who seems to have directed his attention to subjects connected with public utility and national improvement, and whose favourite object was, not to have lived in vain."
