COLYEAR,
evidently the same as, and derived from, Collier, a surname assumed by
Sir Alexander Robertson, of the family of Strowan, created a baronet
20th February 1677, and the ancestor of the earls of
Portmore, a title now extinct. – See PORTMORE, earl of.
