Villages of Falkirk

All over east Stirlingshire small settlements have grown up over the centuries into substantial villages or prosperous towns and their history is every bit as fascinating as that of Falkirk itself. The development of Camelon, Larbert and Stenhousemuir, Grangemouth and Polmont is closely linked to that of Falkirk and their direct influence on the history of the whole area has been of very great significance.

Thanks to Ian Scott, author of The Life & Times of Falkirk, published by John Donald Publishers, Edinburgh.
