Poems of my cousin, Ura May
Dust Devils

“Go out and bring Linda here, now!
She’s playing on the dust devil’s brow.”
But she’s just having fun,
“Jumping up in them on the run.”
My observation was unworried.
“That’s okay except one hurried,
Her all the way up in the air,
Dropped her down a way there,
Down by the barn,
Thankfully, no harm.
It may not be so sweet,
When next one takes her off her feet.”
