Donna's Poems
Be a Friend?
by Donna Flood

If you want to be a friend don't compete with me.
Have the need? Join a basketball game, or spelling bee.

What I do today may be worked with a passion and a blaze,
But it won't fit any where today, it will be far into tomorrow's craze.

There is no rhyme or reason for what I do,
You will only become frustrated and blue.

I want to love you for gifts you have and are.
Don't stumble yourself with my visions so away far.

Life is like a great big chocolate bar to me.
I nibble it slowly and this you won't see.

Our friendship will end before it begins,
If you feel you are only in for the wins.

My friends I have counted so many now,
Its the way we have known freedom's bow.
