Although this article is mainly about the
above-mentioned eminent Scotsman, Robert Reyburn, who was in the
forefront of the development of the hamlet of Whangarei into a thriving
town in the latter part of the 19th Century, it must be mentioned that
his living Great Great Great NICOL Grandchildren and their descendants
can not only be proud of carrying Reyburn blood, but also the blood of
some other prominent Kiwi and Scots forebears in their Nicol, Telfer and
Maclaren lineage. v.i.z.
