Hugh Cleghorn was a leading
Forest Conservator in mid-19th century India. Dr Henry Noltie tells of his
work piecing together Cleghorn's life, reconnecting collections at the Royal
Botanic Garden Edinburgh: herbarium specimens, books, and botanical drawings
commissioned by Cleghorn in India. What he finds is an unsung pioneer, a
collector, and a major benefactor to the RBGE.
