Renaissance Faire, North Carolina, 2009

Tartan day has certainly come a long way from the two people handing out tracks and information at a shopping mall.  It proved so popular that the Renaissance Faire first gave them a booth, then a half day celebration and now a full day is dedicated to the event.

The weather was perfect, 80 degrees with a light wind to keep you cool, and was well attended with folks still coming through the gates at 5:00 PM.

While there, I met a kinsman of yours, who says he has met you.  One Alan McIntyre by name.  He was he, bearing the flag of Scotland on the Grand Procession down to the jousting fields at age 91 I understand.  Oh those McIntyre's are a hardy lot!
