Now it was time for me to
explore the games themselves. I was told that the previous night
they had the tattoo which was attended by some 10,000 people and that they
anticipated some 30,000 to attend the Saturday games.
Here we are getting ready for the parade of
the Clans and the Glengarry Pipes and Drums would be leading them into the
stadium
All over the grounds there were pipe bands
practicing and individuals finding a wee bit of space for individual
practice.
Thought I'd show some of the "Scottish Food"
that was on sale :-)
Crowds wanting Scottish Food! :-)
Mushy peas were also a great favourite
And sliced sausage being cooked and the meal
on the right is what I had for lunch. In actual fact it was very tasty
indeed :-)
There were a few spots where the Pipe Bands
played to a small audience
I managed to get into the Gold Patrons
entrance so I could get a couple of pictures from up high
They sure start them young :-)
Also found a very good art show going on with
some novel art on show
