If you look closely
you can almost see where I want to put the walkways. Maybe, maybe
not. I had hoped to get a surface where Rhonda could go with her
wheelchair, and had planned to buy her a low rider bicycle, but I
suppose this is not to happen. The Koo family of Taiwan paid
certain ones in the tribe for damages for their carbon black soot.
However, they very neatly drew a line around my place leaving me
out. For me, I could care less, but to hurt a person like Rhonda is
more difficult to accept. I realize the political elements, that of
paying nothing to some, and almost 1/2 million to others is a good
way to cause dissention within the tribe. Apparently, this isn't
working, though. It seems the Ponca with their great numbers of
ways in their culture going toward peace have been able to carry
them through, and they all are able to rise above this interesting
new looking warfare. I've studied their behavior during this time,
and for some reason, most just shrug the slight off. I almost feel
they are saying, "So what else is new?"
