Heraldry Course – Atlanta – November 2004

The Scottish Society of  Armigers is please to announce that it will be holding its first Heraldry Course in Atlanta between the 5 and 7^th November 2004.  The course will be taught by Mrs. Elizabeth A. Roads, MVO, Carrick Pursuivant of Arms and Clerk to Lyon Court.

The course is outlined below:

·        Basic Heraldry – What is it? – Origins & Civil Development

·        Lyon Court – Procedures, Petitions, Grants, Matriculations, Proofs & Designations

·        Herladry and the Clan System

·        Design of Arms – Development of Charges

·        Other Lyon Work – Ceremonial and research

·        Questions and Answers
