Seeking the Clan Donald Diaspora

A Project to Establish Clan Donald Groups
In the Non-English Speaking World

The High Council of Clan Donald Chiefs has approved the establishment of a project, under the leadership of the Council of Finlaggan, to identify and promote the organization of Clan Donald groups in nations outside the English-speaking world.

This project seeks to find and reunite Clan Donald members spread throughout the world, re-introduce them to our Clan and provide them with information regarding our rich heritage. As a result of this project, it is the Council’s hope that at least one Clan Donald organization be formed on each continent of the globe.

In the furtherance of this project, the Council of Finlaggan has authorized the establishment of a Committee under the leadership of R.C. McDonald, the Deputy Commissioner of the Florida Region of Clan Donald USA.

This project is monumental in scope, both geographically and in effort. Bearing this in mind, a “Regional” structure has been designed to facilitate the management of the Project, alleviate some of the language barriers, increase communications, and provide a cohesive relationship with current Clan Donald organizations.

The Committee has established the Regions as follows;

  • Mexico and Central America

  • South America

  • Eastern Europe

  • Western Europe

  • Scandinavia

  • Commonwealth of Independent States

  • Eastern Asia

  • Central Asia

  • Middle East

  • Northeast Africa

  • West Africa

  • Central Africa

  • Southern Africa

It is the Council’s hope that each Region will be managed by a separate Committee Member. Therefore, we are in need of volunteers to serve on the Committee. The Council is also asking for contact information for any of our Clansmen and women residing within these Regions.

For information on how you can help, or to contribute contact information, please contact R.C. McDonald at scottishmac@adelphia.net or at 561-642-5434.
