A small town worthy, on his appearance in
court, was asked whether he pleaded guilty or not guilty to a charge of
being 'drunk and disorderly.'
"Hou am A fir ti ken, yir Warship?" he
complained "till A hear the evidence? A wis blinn fou at the time!"
