Absence of Mind
A famous case of clerical absentmindedness occurred in a Methil pulpit on the
Sawbath following the great day when the local football team, East Fife,
defeated Kilmarnock in the 1938 Scottish Cup Final.
"Let us now praise God" announced the Minister "by singing
the Second Paraphrase 'O God of Methil' - to the tune Kilmarnock."
