25TH ANNIVERSARY CLAN ROSS USA ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
GRANDFATHER MOUNTAIN, NC JULY 12-15, 2001
This year’s Grandfather Mountain Highland Games were extra special in that it included the 25th Anniversary meeting of Clan Ross USA! There were familiar faces and many new kin and friends to meet. The Clan Ross were lodged and met mostly at a quaint Victorian Era manor called the Green Park Inn in Blowing Rock, NC. Our dinner was held there, too.
Every year, Clan Ross is royally entertained by the piping in and addressing of the haggis! Sandy Ross officiates quoting Rabbie Burns dramatically and slicing the haggis up for us all (we brought vegetarian haggis, too!)
I’ve heard a haggis can be a dangerous thing, even cooked, so a sword was needed in the addressing of it! Our national chaplain, Rev. David Beebe was there with his family, too!
Ches Crow, NC Commissioner, hosted the clan tent and Winston Ross hosted our wonderful dinner.

There were Ross Clan members from all over the USA! Harold Andrews was there from Seattle, WA, Paul
Trotter from NY and Gail L’Esperence from Atlanta!
Dinner concluded with entertainment by Scottish folksinger Colin Grant-Adams, another annual Ross tradition and good friend of our Clan. It was wonderful as always, Colin!
