John Rollo (d.1390),
secretary to the Earl of Strathern, a son of King Robert II, was granted by the King a
charter of the lands of Duncrub, Strathern, in 1381. In 1572 David Rattray of Craighall
(d.1586) killed two men in a fight with some Rollos, but was relieved of responsibility on
payment of a fine of 500 merks. Sir Andrew Rollo of Duncrub (1577-1659) was created Lord
Rollo in 1651. |
