He was born in 1872 in
Scotland
Had a sister Eleanor
Esther
He married Mabel Mary
Cookson in Elmstead Essex in 1899

Ramsey, Isle of Man married Mabel Mary Cookson 24 of
Elmstead, by Licence by her father Osmond
Cookson. The witnesses were Herbert Henry Osmond Cookson, Beatrice
Elizabeth Cookson and Ada Annie Harding.”

i presume he ahd
been to University)
He
emigrated to South Africa in 1903/4
He divorced Mabel Mary
in 1906 and was given custody of their daughter Mary Elizabeth
He was a mine owner in
Penhalonga,
Southern Rhodesia
He died in 1925 and his
daughter is listed as his only survivor. She herself married
Stuart Clarkson in
Rhodesia
