Dusty old memories
scattered around
Smiling faces
In familiar places
Are plentiful to be found
Distant happiness is faint
to memory
Children were swinging
And songbirds were singing
Memories of times that were once carefree
As time moves on it takes
its toll
Pictures fade
Of memories once made
But still they manage to stir the soul
There’s no returning to
days gone past
The children are grown
With lives of there own
Those dusty old memories fading so fast
Faded memories of life’s
sweet refrain
Lived decades ago
Time never moves slow
But those dusty old memories remain
