Once banned as a weapon of
war,
Played, today, more than ever before.
Policemen,firemen, college girls too;
Kilted out in tartans of every clan 'n' hue.
Pibroch players short or tall,
Each fingers the chanters call.
They celebrate victory or loss;
Be it a wartime landing or first caber toss.
Dancers move to the piper's joy :
Reels,sword dance, 'n' The Fling ;
Heeding The Pibroch is 'their thing .
Once banned as a weapon of war :
May it play in peacetime evermore.
But: as long a dictators rule :
Should we ever close the Pibroch's school ? |
