Have you seen a dragon someone just like me?
I'd give up all I own if only it could be.
I've searched the world in hopes to find,
just one more of my own kind.
Searched and searched and searched again
and hoped and hoped when hope's in vain.
I've searched on every mountain peek,
all there know what I seek.
I've called the magic chant from high,
and waited there for my reply.
'hillicop, hillicop who be there,
dragon bold or dragon fair,
hillicop, hillicop gather here,
dragon far or dragon near."
But no reply.
I searched the sea and asked the fish,
they all know my only wish
Even the magic corral shells,
rang out loud the dragon bells,
in hope that there might be
just one more dragon in the sea.
But no reply
At every ancient castle door,
the secret password works no more.
I've been to each and every one
and called out as we've always done.
I'll make your highest stone
lowest in a minute
if you don't open up that
door and let me in it.
But no reply
I searched all the caves dark and deep,
everywhere that dragons sleep.
I found all the treasures hidden there,
but there's no dragon in the dragon lair.
my echo resounding through the caves
came back to me in lonely waves.
But no reply
In the forest I searched the trees
I asked all the birds and honey bees,
they have offered wealth untold
vast quantities of liquid gold.
But no reply
All the desserts barren and dry
have been witness to my haunted cry.
Time has passed like shifting sands
there is no dragon in the barren lands.
No reply
Now it seems that I'm the last
dragon time has all but past
no dragons walk or swim or fly
I searched the world
But no reply |
