Part 1 -
Introduction
On a given day I had so much to breath
Beauty of land horse and history
I did not ask for the gift it was given
Look upon the field where many a horse does graze
The war horse of past so true
Shall dance today for you
Across the water the pipes did play
My heart came at once to the sound and pleasure to feel
Upon the field
What may I see of the horse and history
Some took a stance
Power upon the ground ready to drum as before
When call upon war
Others in wonder quite as could be for others destiny
One grazed so quietly
No wonder so much love for history
Nature and Man Freedom so much closer for all to see
Part 2 - To Heal
You the horse my friend did share history
My words to put upon this page
With your heart
As it shall be given for you and me
So long ago
The wound part of the soul
We came to be in each others company
Your earth will of course call to me
Time has no reason for horse
It is but the day
What stride to place upon the ground
In all that we do
Will you see
Forgiveness to heal the soul
This mine not yours
I claim you for so many wars
A promise I took and will now claim to keep
To enter in grief of one hearts sake
Can you be of such
So kind to me
Give me the right of peace and self destiny
A promise given
Promise of no end
Did I not care when your strength held me
Questions for yet another day
Now at peace a time to graze
Part 3 - The Story of the Warrior and
Horse
How long must the day be warrior
Can you remember what has been
Has time and peace taken your memory
Will you place the words of war shared with friend
In trust I do put these words in promise for praise
Lest any man forget what was war in glory and grave
For so many battle years we did travel together so true
At times I did sleep upon thee weary from the day
Just a little gift for man so brave
When light does come, so shall truth
Part 4 - A New Begin
Upon the field two of war horse
In the darkness of this night a full
moon
Lights of wonder to take the sky
Drums to proclaim 2001
Hawk's War took to the ground full
flight
To command the snow
Surround me with much delight
Silver stood braced to sound the call
of trumpet
The victory.
