At a recent trial the judge asked: "Who
was John Maclean?" Why do we choose our judges from such an
ignorant group of people?
History condemns the tribe of hanging judges like Braxfield and
Jeffrey. They have been responsible for the judicial murders of the
greatest of their contemporaries, including Socrates, Jesus, Joan of Arc,
William Wallace and James Connolly.
If we really learned from history, we would stand when the prisoner is
brought to the Bar and we would hiss as the judge takes his seat.
