I found this biography in
Volume 10 of the Celtic Magazine and pulled out the various sections to
create a single account which we put into a pdf document. This is a very
interesting account of a man who joined as an ordinary solder who was
raised through the ranks to Major. He fought in Europe and also
North America. There are very interesting accounts of his life in the
army and how he looked after his wide and daughter and later a son.
