AYMOUTH, baron
of,
in the Scottish peerage, a title bestowed on the great duke of
Marlborough in 1682, as Baron Churchill of Ayrnouth, or Eyemoutb,
in Berwickshire, although he had no connexion with that place. The
title became extinct on his death in 1722.
