This is an interesting
account of Senhor Oliveira Martins, the gifted Portuguese author who has
so graphically pictured us to ourselves in his Inglaterra de Hoje, has,
among other and numerous works, left us a picture of his own too little
known country in the Middle Ages, in the shape of a life of Nun'Alvares,
the celebrated Constable of Portugal in the fourteenth century. It also
has some interesting information on the Knights Hospitallers.
