Combine one peck green
tomatoes ground, mixed with one cup salt. Let drain in cloth bag over nite.
I medium size head cabbage
6 red bell peppers (not hot)
6 green bell peppers (not hot)
6 medium size onions
Mix above with Ground green tomatoes.
Add:
3 qts. vinegar
8 cups sugar
2 Tablespoons celery seeds
2 Tablespoon mustard seeds
1 Tablespoons whole cloves
Cook over low heat until vegetables are tender, about 20 minutes. Seal in
hot sterilized jars, makes about 10-12 pints.
When making potato salad for a crowd, I simply add this whole jar of
relish to the salad with salad dressing and that makes the salad. Quick
and easy, plus good. |
