Yucca Weed Photograph by Faye Heffington
Yucca some call you a soap weed.
Others feared for horses the sharp leaves gaff,
Indian used the root for laundry's need,
The blossoms fried in batter they had the last laff.
Are there not so many things like this seed
Grinned about, looked over with maybe disdain?
Yet the life that is there still can bleed,
To absorb into our mentality knowledge's stain. |
