Poems of my cousin, Ura May
Home Again

Have you ever been on a camp out,
Without the amenities stout?
Return to the house with great glee,
For running water and electricity free.

This is the way it was to come home,
Little town wasn’t so bad to moan,
It was more like a paradise,
With quiet, an easy pace, suffice.

Like a book with a cover,
But nothing inside or other,
Was the city for my part,
As pretty and vague as a tart.

Here are no sirens blasting all night and day,
Traffic is sparse and at minimum’s play,
When seldom is heard,
A discouraging word.

Well, we won’t go that far,
At least there is easy parking for the car.
