Giddy up horsey, go to town,
Then wonder where is the clown!
They dress in buckskin regalia
Clean and pure looks to impale yah!
Round and round they go to dance
On the dancers dip and prance
All of a suddenly while I watched
Some princess dressed girl with beads notched
Stood swaying with black eyes of death
I'm breathing her alcohol breath.
Her mother was paid for her craft, the work
The girl in a drunken smirk
Believed she owned that thing
Ripped if off the hanger and string.
When she was reminded of her bearing
Reverse prejudice against my skin color was so clear
Disrespect of any gray hair elder she had no fear,
Disgracing the regalia she was wearing.
She flung back with words in a snap,
“Don't give me that crap!”
So much for lost romantic vision,
Too bad, one person can bring on all, derision.
In the old days it would have not been allowed
But today, those ways have been plowed. |
