West Texas has it's moments with
fall colors in the most unexpected places

My friend knows this West Texas road well
There's a steam over that rise called Black Water Draw
Tumbleweeds rest just where they fell,
Those of the prairie know this trail and its law.
You see, it's on the way home to the ranch,
Just over yonder, keep on the track,
Cross over that low running branch,
You're anxious for warmth, home and the sack.
Miles we've traveled for sure,
Maybe our ride was smooth
Not like when Grampa rode Old sorrel
Nevertheless, look forward to muscles soothe. |
